Continuation of life as a sarcie

Me & Dr H Grobelaar(Dentist I worked For)
So I stopped my last post @ the point when my life changed and i became a lab rat. I say lab rat because i was passed from pillar to post from one specialist to another as the doctors really had no clue what the heck was wrong with me!!!!

Happy Healthy family before the Sarcoid
I was referred to a neurologist as the first symptoms i noticed was the complete numbness on the right side of my body. The doctors intially thought cancer or lupus but i thought no way!!! It cant be!!! My Boyfriend and my lil Diva attended the appointment with me as we didnt know what to expect. My appointment was for 9:30am but with the size of the JR being closer to a mall we were walking around aimlessly for half an hour. We finally found the place and were told to sit in the reception area for the nurse to get us when they were ready. Eva loved it, the hospital was a new and exciting place for her, she had never been to the hospital ever in her 2/3 years on earth(she was born @ home).
Superwoman!!!
To my suprise the nurse called my name and when I looked up to my suprise my nurse was an old school friend I hadnt seen since we'd left school. She said "I saw your name and thought surely there isnt another person with the same name but didnt think anything of it." We hugged, I introduced her to my daughter and boyfriend and as she led us through to a consultation room exchanged the usual pleasantries. We had to wait anxiously for about 15minutes so we thought we'd do the normal thing and snoop around the room. My boyfriend discovered that the bed moved up and down & then the fun began!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Eventually a young doctor came in to see us and asked me to tell him why I was there and what had gone on for my doctor to refer me. I explained everything as best as  I could and then he decidec to examine me. Afterwards he informed me that I would have to go for an MRI scan so that they could see if they could pin-point what was going on.
The couple of weeks later I went for the MRI which found absolutely nothing suspicious on my scan so I was discharged. By this point my eyes were acting a fool(We couldnt have any lights on in the house if was in the room as the light really hurt my eyes, i was like a vampire always shielding myself from the light) and the chest pain was excruciating so I went back to see my doctor. In the meantime my half sister in South Africa was diagnosed with something called Sarcoisosis. On my next visit to the doctor I thought I should mention the fact that my half sister had just been diagnosed with something called sarcoidosis. I had never heard of this disease before so I didnt take any notice of it, but when I mentioned this to my Dr I saw an imagenery light bulb go off on top of her head. she explained that this could explain some of my symptoms like the tiredness and joint pain so she then refered me to the Sarcoid Clinic.

My eyesite started to deteriorate an an immense rate so I decided to go to the optometrist and have my eyes tested.I remember as a child I always fancied wearing glasses, I remember trying on my moms glasses every time she set them down on the table. I got my eyes tested and was told that I definetly needed glasses!!!!Great!!!! I had wanted them so bad as a kid coz i thought I would look great but I hadnt actually considered what it actually meant for my eyes. I chose a pair of glasses got them ordered and that was that.

At this point health was deteriorating. I was extremely tired all the time( I think my boyfriend thought i was just being lazy) I couldnt keep any food down so I was losing weight rapidly. I went down to 7and a 1/2 stone. I'm 5'7 and have always been skinny but this was ridiculous. My boyfriend bless him had so much to deal with, I dont think I considered what he was going through when this was going on. He did everything for me and tha Diva as I just couldn't physically or mentally, I had no energy always exhausted so all I would do was sleep. The next few months just went by as I slept my life away, I missed out on alot of things as I just couldnt muster up the energy to do anything and my poor baby knew that mommy wasnt well all the time but bless her the cuddles did help me feel better. I definetly think cuddles are the best medicine!!!

Finally here

So Iv'e been meaning to start this blog for ages but just havent had the time. But I am finally doing it!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
So let me tell you a bit about myself- I am first of all a mother to a beautiful 5 year old princess and a 13year old Staffordshire bullterrier. I Have the most amazing family who live in South Africa, thank God for Skype I get to see them all the time. I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis about 3 years ago and have been living with it ever since. Prior to being diagnosed I had never even heard about it(actually thats a lie-my half sister had just been diagnosed a few moths before me). This is my story

My pretty princess

September 2009 I got a job at a private dental practice training to be a dental nurse and eventually receptionist, but i was generally involved in the nursing side of things. It was a great job, I was working withn an amazing Dentist from South Africa who was really patient with me as I had never done the job before!!!!! I was travelling 30-40 minutes on the bus to get Eva to nursery and then myself into work. This worked fine for a couple of months until the end of november/early december when I started noticing how tired I was feeling all the time and I would get serious joint pain in my hands when trying to hold the suction or assist the dentist on patients.(The Dentist was starting to really worry about my crazyhands close to pts mouths) I just put it down to working 30+ hours a week and travelling everyday. I found myself calling in sick constantly at work and was really starting to worry as I didnt know what was going on with my body. I kept getting chest pains and got an appointment to see a doctor who told me it was just a chest infection, but i knew it wasnt as i had previously had a chest infection without the chest pain!!!! Something is Wrong!!!! I could feel it!!!!One Thursday morning i woke up to get myself and my lil diva ready for the day ahead but my was terrified to find my whole right hand side of my body was completely knumb, from head to toe. Thats when I decided I needed to see my own doctor and tell her my concerns. From here the testing began- I felt like a lab rat-
